The Location of the OneDrive Folder
You must first know where the OneDrive folder is before you can transfer it! To locate it, go to:

Remove OneDrive from your computer’s network.
You must now disconnect or unlink your local PC from the OneDrive service once you know the path to your current OneDrive folder. This procedure clears the way for the folder to be transferred. To do so, open File Explorer and type:
1. Right-click the OneDrive shortcut once again and choose Settings from the menu.
From the OneDrive menu, choose Settings.
2. Select the Account tab in the Microsoft OneDrive dialog box. Click Unlink this PC under this tab, as seen below.

3. You’ll be requested to disconnect your computer from your OneDrive account. To do so, click Unlink Account.
Remove the PC Dialogue Box by licking it.
4. Ignore the new box that comes when you unlink the account, prompting you to check into OneDrive.
Changing the Location of the OneDrive Folder
OneDrive has now been unlinked from the original folder, allowing it to be relocated. Let’s get started.
In Windows Explorer, go to:
1. Go to OneDrive’s previous location.

2. Select Cut from the context menu of the OneDrive folder by right-clicking on it.

3. Go to the parent folder you want to relocate the OneDrive folder to and paste it there. In the example below, the OneDrive folder will be relocated to C:migrated OneDriveOneDrive.

Reconnect OneDrive to your computer
The OneDrive folder has now been relocated to its new home. It’s time to reconnect your computer’s OneDrive with the OneDrive cloud service. To do so, follow these steps:
1. Locate and click the OneDrive icon on the taskbar. You will be prompted to sign in again in a new window.
From the Taskbar, choose the OneDrive icon.
2. In the text box, enter the email address you used to set up OneDrive, and then click Sign In.
Enter your OneDrive/Microsoft credentials.
3. On the next screen, OneDrive should automatically set the default location for a new OneDrive folder which is C:Users<username>OneDrive. Click Change location to change that path.
Choose a new location.
4. For this lesson, go to the new location of your OneDrive folder (C:moved OneDriveOneDrive) and choose Folder.
To setup, go to a new folder.
5. Click Use this folder to confirm you’re okay with utilizing the existing folder.
Confirm that the new folder will be used.
6. When prompted to backup your folders, choose Continue.
To backup, choose any folder.
7. In File Explorer, browse to the newly created OneDrive folder. If the transfer was successful, the OneDrive symbol should now appear instead of the generic folder icon.
You should notice a OneDrive icon in the relocated folder.
You should now be able to transfer a OneDrive folder on your Windows machine from one place to another! OneDrive will sync to the cloud as normal at this point, but from a different folder location.
