Setting up reminders with Google Assistant is one of the best features of Android. You can turn it on with your voice, at your chosen time, or even on location. And you’ll be notified even if you’re not there. You can access, edit and delete reminders later on your Android device. When this feature works, it works perfectly and many users use it daily. However, Google Wizard reminders do not seem to work for some users.

If you are one of those affected, check the following steps to resolve the issue as soon as possible.

Table of contents :

  1. View Google Notifications
  2. Clear Google application cache/data
  3. Disable battery optimization for the Google application.
  4. Removing updates from the Google application
  5. Delete a Google Account and add it again

Why aren’t my assistants working?

There are many reasons why reminders don’t work in Google Assistant. The fault may also be on Google’s side. However, it is mostly on the user side and involves notifications in the Google application.

You need to clear the application cache, check for notifications or remove updates from the Google application. That should be enough. Obviously, you need to set a deadline to be notified of a specific recall you have instituted.

1. Checking Google Notifications

First, you need to dive into the system notification settings for the Google application. You must find the Memoirs section. Of course reminder messages are enabled by default, but we need your confirmation.

This is the most common reason why Google Wizard reminders do not appear on your Android device. If the notification settings are not a problem and the reminders in the Google Assistant are still not working, go to the next step.

To learn how to turn on Google notifications, click here :

  1. Open the settings.
  2. Select Apps and notifications (Apps or Apps Manager).
  3. Open all applications (Manage applications).
  4. Open Google.
  5. Click on Notifications.
  6. Make sure the reminder function is activated. Also, make sure they don’t keep quiet.

You can also enable Google Wizard and access its settings. Select notifications here. Tap Show all phone notifications, and then tap Reminders. Make sure it is in callback mode.

2. Clear Google application cache/data

If the problem persists, it may be local data corruption. This problem occurs from time to time, especially if the data file is large and you have recently updated your version of Android. Stay in the cache for now and see if the memories resurface. If they don’t appear, make sure all local data is also deleted.

Here is how to clear the Google app cache/data on your Android phone:

  1. Again, go to Settings > Apps > All applications > Google.
  2. Click on the stock.
  3. Press Clear Cache.
  4. Restart the device.
  5. If the reminders still do not arrive, select Clear memory and then OK to confirm the action.

3. Disable battery optimization for the Googleapplication

You can also try disabling battery optimization for the Google application. This is usually only an issue with heavy Android skins that interrupt applications and prevent them from running in the background. However, this rarely happens when these applications are system applications, i.e. usually Google. However, give him a chance to make sure he doesn’t cause any problems.

If the problem is not solved, you can cancel everything by simply restoring the battery optimization for the Google application.

Learn how to disable battery optimization for the Google application:

  1. Again, go to Settings > Apps > All applications > Google.
  2. Sensor array.
  3. Make sure Google can use the battery in the background.
  4. You can also open the Battery Optimization menu and add Google to the list of non-optimized applications.

4. Delete updates for Google app

Since the Google Assistant is built into the Google application, which cannot be uninstalled, your only option is to reinstall the updates. This way you can reload the application and hopefully solve the problem. You should also leave the beta program if you are involved. It is very likely that the latest version is not stable, leading to the recall error.

Learn how to remove updates from the Google application and restore the application’s original settings:

  1. Outdoor games store.
  2. Search and develop Google.
  3. Tap on Remove Updates.
  4. Restart your device and make sure you install the updates before installing Google Assistant.

5. Deleting and adding a Google Account

Finally, you can also try deleting your Google account from your device and adding it again. If an error occurs in the application, it should be corrected the next time you log in. Make sure you back up your data beforehand.

The combinations of solutions are numerous, but the possibilities are more or less exhausted. You can also factory reset your device (as described here), but this is not a guaranteed solution if the problem lies with Google.

For information on deleting and adding a Google Account on Android, click here:

  1. Open the settings.
  2. Choose the accounts.
  3. Select Google.
  4. Delete the entered account.
  5. Restart the device.

  1. Log back into your account.
