How to install the FoxFi application (WiFi Tether without root) on Windows PC and MacBook
Download the FoxFi (WiFi Tether w/o Root) software for PC with the most powerful and reliable Android emulator like the NOX APK player or the BlueStacks. All Android emulators are compatible to run FoxFi (rootless WiFi Tether) on Windows 10, 8, 7, Computer and Mac.

A new WiFi Direct solution (free update) has been added to PdaNet to connect computers or tablets in addition to the USB connection. The old WiFi hotspot solution remains with FoxFi. If the old FoxFi feature still works on your phone, it’s still the best solution for sharing your phone with the internet because there are no restrictions on the devices you can connect.
======(New)WiFi Direct Hotspot=======
This new WiFi Direct feature in PdaNet 5 allows you to use WiFi mode from computers or tablets. However, unlike the old WiFi access point, PdaNet must be installed on the computers or tablets to be connected, or a proxy server must be set up. Use this feature if you can no longer activate the WiFi access point or if your WiFi access point is metered while you already have an unlimited data plan.
======(Legacy)WiFi Hotspot=====
Android 7.0 (Nougat) or later no longer supports legacy WiFi Hotspot mode, even for Verizon phones. Please contact PdaNet for alternative solutions.
Due to blockages, each time the phone system is updated, the old WiFi mode is only allowed in the restricted list of compatible devices. As of 11/2016, in PUBLIC :
-Android 7.0 (Nouga) or later no longer supports WiFi mode, even for Verizon phones.
-Verizon Samsung (S3/4/5/6/7/Edge, Note 2/3/4/5, etc.), Verizon LG (V10, G2/3/4/5, etc.) and Verizon Sony (Z2/Z3) phones are supported with Android versions up to and including Android 6.0/6.1.
-Verizon HTC phones (M7/8) only work on Android 4.1 ~ 4.4.
-Verizon Motorola phones only work with Android 4.3 or lower.
-AT&T Samsung phones will only work with Android 4.2 or lower.
-other carriers/phones will only work if they are still running Android 4.0 or less.
-Direct Talk only works if it uses Verizon and is compatible with the phones listed above.
-For all other phones, use the USB or Bluetooth mode.
* To bypass WiFi locks in FoxFi mode, you may be asked to install a certificate on your phone, which will cause the Android system to force the screen lock and display a security message in the notification. For more information and the steps to unlock the screen, go to http://pdanet.co/wifi.

The free version is deactivated after the period of use, but can be reactivated, otherwise the same applies as for the full version.
